I want something different, need 4 seats, £60k max, a car that I will enjoy looking at as much as driving.I dont need absolute performance or 10 10th handling, but a comfortable cruiser
The Ghibli is a car I'd forgotten about, but saw one yesterday & wow what a great looking machine.
I'm searching for 2021/22 models & seem good value from list price, I'm very tempted.
Any thoughts?
Anyone got a Ghibli hybrid?
Anyone who says buy an Audi, BMW, Jag comments not required smile

Dont have experience of the ghibli but the maserati dealership experience is first class compared to the Germans.

I used to have a Granturismo and they used to loan me some great cars whilst my car was being serviced. They also were great at fault finding and will do their utmost. For example, I had a fault that was developing over 100mph and the local indy could not help whereas the maserati dealer took the car for a spin and an hour later it was fixed.

The germans at the moment are really like washing machine...boring as fk.

Great on you to drive something different.

Go and book a test drive. I am sure they will give you the car for the weekend.

The Ghibli is a cracking looking car and with the right tyres drives wonderfully all year round. The 400 bhp V6 S is a peach and sounds awesome.

That said any £60k Ghibli will rapidly become a £30k car. That's the way of the world with 4 door Maseratis.

I've never driven the hybrid Ghibli, but this seems a dogs dinner of a system, and at 325 bhp no stronger than their weakest 'basic' V6. They don't offer a PHEV and having a 4-pot engine feels wrong. I'm chopping in my V6S because I want a V8 Maserati. A 4-pot seems beyond the pale.

Get a sorted 430 bhp Ghibli V6 S, or get a hybrid that has decent looks. If you want a GT type hybrid a Panamera-ideally in Sport Turismo form-is worth exploring.

I’m booked in at the weekend 😊 agreed about Germans, been driving Porsches for 20 years odd and my last 911 just didn’t ever light my fire, no matter how competent. Driving at normal speeds my 911 was very dull.
I can’t wait to try a Maser.

Panamera is great I admit but I’m ready for a change from Porsche, I will consider other Ghibli,s but what attracts me about the hybrid is the Sportivo spec, it has the lot.
I must admit deprecation is a concern, but planning on buying right and keeping for 5-6 years.
Interesting you say about good all year round on right tyres, what did you use? All season? Ok in cold weather. Cheers

Not driven one but I'd say it's worth a test drive.

The Ghibli on P zeros crabs on full lock below 10 degrees. The P zero is I believe the only MGT (Maserati) coded tyre, but the sizes are common in Michelin and Good Year.

I understand the hybrid is based on the Alfa Romeo 4 cylinder. I’ve a V6 but haven’t driven the hybrid, the V6 is pretty thunderous for something so small!

I hated the now deleted diesel within minutes!

I have 2 sets of wheels/ tyres p zero 20s summer and sottozeros on 19s when it’s under 10C. It’s the best not way to go as the p zeros turn to rock when it’s cold

Agreed I had P zero's on my 911 plus they a crabbed really badly in reverse. Are your 19" winter wheels from Maserati of after market? any photos?
Looking forward to my test drive tomorrow, I still need to get my head around potential depreciation, it could be a deal breaker?
