I have just bought an F10 M5 (2016) and I'm returning to BMW ownership after a gap of almost fifteen years.
Can anyone recommend an efficient, but not necessarily professional level, diagnostic tool please?
I had an iCarsoft unit for my Range Rover but I assume this will not recognise BMW codes?
Apologies as I imagine this has been discussed to death by now.
Thanks in advance

Carly unit works well with diagnostic codes, you need a higher level subscription to get full data but it does the job.
About £50 for the OBDI plug in, and £70-80/year for subs. Often on special offer though.

Another vote for Carly, works really well although looks like the pricing has gone up a lot! I bought a lifetime licence back in the day for £30 laugh

they are like DFS sofa's. -50% of the time there is a 50% discount offer somewhere on the web.
