2013 M5

Arriving on Monday (all being well) will be a new to me 2013 M5. I have seven days to drive it to decide if I want to keep it (live in the US and bought through a site called Carvana, that’s another topic in itself!)

I’m having a PPI completed on it but wondered what experience folks had with the cars having owned them.

Enjoy it, but worth knowing that the engine is prone to rod bearing failure (as all BMW S engines seem to be) if revved hard when cold or I'd servicing is neglected. Warm it fully before driving it hard.

Also seems that remapping thin can lead to engines going bang.
