Mercedes, how do I know what wheels fit. - Help please
Discussion
Erm... Just get new tyres...
The alloys with 'cheap' tyres you're seeing are cheap for a reason...
Get new tyres via Camskill and fit them instead; new tyres are better than any 'cheap' second hand alloys & tyres, no matter what they are (unless they're very recently fitted and someone simply needs rid of them)...

I have a 2009 Mercedes A class with worn tyres and have seen lots of alloys with tyres for sale very cheap. I have 16” at present and understand I cant go too big or wide with the tyres but how do I find out what other manufactures fitment will fit straight on and be a perfect fit?
They won'tIf you want to ensure a 100% correct fit...buy wheels/tyres that came off your exact vehicle.
Or just buy new tyres.
Other than that, compare bolt PCD's, centre bores and wheel width/offset etc etc to make your own judgment.
If this is mainly a bit of man maths to justify getting some funkier wheels, it will be worth spending some time learning about wheel and tyre sizes and offsets, and how they all interact. There are loads of good online resources, including calculators that will allow you to compare your potential purchases to your current setup.
If this doesn't sound like fun, or you actually just want cheap new tyres, as others have said buy a set off the same car or just get new tyres fitted like a normal person. You can buy part worn branded tyres too and have them fitted.
A couple of tips - wheels always look worse in person than in pictures, and make sure you check the age of any used tyres not just the tread depth.
