Whats the French equivalent of a Travelodge?

I'm ferrying into Zeebrugge and then driving to Monaco. Anyone done this? Im thinking maybe drive halfway and stay in a traveldoge type thing. Anyone know of any like the UK ones that I can turn up and book in?

Ah-ha! Thats he ones my Mum couldnt remember the names of - she said "grand prix something ". They used them when doing the Beaujolais run and said the same, thanks!

I've stayed in a few IBIS over the years, never had any problems and are normally close to major routes

Yep the Formula 1 hotels.

Drove to Dieppe from Le Mans last year and stayed in one.
Arrived there at about 1:30am and just used the automated system and my credit card and we were inside the room 5 mins later.

Very simple and extremely easy and convenient.

And they're bookable on the interweb. They're part of a massive chain (The Accor group) that ranges from formule 1 - £10 a night in a plastic prefab - and upwards. Their Etap hotels are similar but have en suite showers.
