Whhoohooooooo...One happy chappy!

Hi Chaps,

Well at last after ages of researching and searching...today I picked up my new elise!!

It's a Type 23, 2003. It's one of only 50 made and I have one!!! It's English White with British Racing Green stripes, with complimenting Green leather and grey suede interior. It has a colour coded hard top and insulated and lined soft top. It's covered 9,600 miles and I love it to bits. It's drivin my neighbours (the guys) nuts!

I just can't stop smiling...god only knows what time I'll get to sleep.

I must admit, I think I'm very lucky to now own such a great car. It needs a service but I'm booking it in next week.

I'll put some pics up soon, but I'm off shopping to get wax, polish, Alloy cleaner etc, etc so as soon as she's spic and span I'll take some pics so you guys can see her.

Now I just need some like minded folks to meet up with in the Notts area!

Hi, i can imagine how you feel, have a great time and be carefull at the same time.
You just bought one of the best and fun to drive car for it's pricecategory.

Nice one Mac - 1967 was a good year.

I've only seen one type 23 Lotus. That was at Hethel on a 'Drive yourself sensible - Extended' day about 3 months ago. There was a chap there who was fanatical about them - he had an Engish white one too. He was keeping a record of all type 23's in the UK. Had a website too - can't remember what it was called though!

seems like only yesterday i was saying very similar thinngs - oh hang on it was actually wednesday!

it's a brilliant feeling and i'm still smiling

one problem tho - you can't pick your nose at traffic lights cos everyone's looking at you!! lol

God I LOVE the 23. It is the most georgous and beautiful of all the liz's. It was a 23 that made me sure I had to own an Elise. Unfortunatly I wanted an R so I based the stripes on my car on the 23.

Yep...you won't beleive this but in Jan we had the garage bricked up to make a untility room...Now I have the 23 I'm unbricking the garage again to get the car in...lol. We're going on holiday in two weeks time so I'm under the cosh to get it done!!

As soon as I get chance to polish her I'll post some pics.
