Virgin Media - door to door salesman

Had a door-to-door salesman from Virgin Media cold call at my house a few days ago, primarily to offer me a deal on broadband/tv. Turned him away because I was busy doing other things but has anyone else had this and received a decent deal on their broadband/tv as a result?
