These people just get more and more out of touch with reality with every day that passes.

Video of the incident in Liverpool's Aintree University Hospital shows activists boasting of their presumed legal jurisdiction as "common law constables". They told staff and police they were under "open arrest". A man was later arrested in connection with the incident.

Mind numbing stupidity and ignorance.

quite a few of the nutters on here will be among their number or sympathetic. It's a (mental illness) pandemic in it's own right.

If you wanted to discredit people with concerns about the covid vaccine then labelling them 'anti-vaxxers' and maybe organising a few people to do stuff like this in the name of 'anti-vax' would be a pretty good way to do it wouldn't it?

So you reckon this is an organized stitch-up to discredit anti vaxxers?

That didn't take long.

Perhaps my original post was a "false flag" to flush out those with nutty theories like this?

I wouldn't think one was needed. Anti-vaxxers are doing a good enough job of discrediting themselves.

The FOTL/SC nutters have always been around. I think this is just the latest cause for them to rally around and whinge to each other about how unfair the world is to them and how their greatness isn't recognised...

But not too loudly mind you... They don't want anyone actually hearing them whist they hide in the dark corner of the pub.

Much like all their other causes/groups like MGTOW and ROK (Return of Kings, not Republic of Korea) it'll end up with them fighting amongst themselves online and fizzle away to nothing.

Tyranny is the deliberate removal of all nuance.

Some people may be concerned about government overreach. Others may be fully supportive of covid vaccinations for the elderly and at risk groups but baulk at the idea of vaccinating children, whose risk is statistically insignificant for example. I'm sure lots of people in Austria are double/triple jabbed but don't support the impending mandatory vaccination.

There are a whole myriad of nuanced opinions. Labelling them all 'anti vax' so they can be lumped in with crazy groups like this and then disregarded as a whole does nothing to move forward any debate or discussion.

Unfortunately this tactic seems to be very successful in shutting down any discussion.

FTFY.

The internet as we know it evolved over the two decades before that.

Yep

There are all sorts of reasonable nuanced positions, in my eyes at any rate.

Covid vaccination should be voluntary and not mandated by the government.
The vaccine is suitable for the vulnerable and elderly but there is little justification to vaccinating the healthy young.

Then the cultists start screeching "antivaxxer" at anyone holding such views.

It's certainly not a false flag group set up to discredit the anti-vax but highlighting them so publicly and mocking them like this is very divisive and polarises people even more into the pro-vax vs anti-vax camps and leaving no area in the middle where the majority would normally be.

edit - bit slow, looks like GMT13 and JagLover said similar things much better than I did!

They're not being mocked simply for being cautious about or against vaccines.

They're being mocked and rightly criticised for doing things like barging into a hospital and telling the staff they're "aiding and abetting genocide".

Once you do that it's no longer about beliefs or peaceful protest.

No it isn't.

Sounds like you have no idea what actual tyranny is... And youre going to be upset about me pointing this out.

People get labelled anti-vaxxers because they are unreasonable. They are the ones removing any chance of a civil discussion, let alone a nuanced one.

So if you're worried about nuance... Look at the people trying to make you believe complete absurdities and refusing to back down when proven wrong... That is why they are labelled, they have earned it.

The irony is, you're the one trying to shut down discussion by trying to paint the rational side as being evil for calling these people what they are.

I've absolutely no idea.

But I do find the language that's used regarding the Covid situation very interesting. Anyone with concerns about the vaccine (and I include myself amongst those, although I have had both 'jabs') is an anti vaxxer!!!. It's entirely possible to have concerns without being an anti-vax nutter, but the label gets stuck on anyway.

'Covid denier' for people who object ot lockdowns is another.

There is no denying that there has been an awful lot of politics, 'nudging', clapping at the sky and other manipulation wrapped up in this one, hence my initial thought.
