Engine spec?
So I haven’t gone down the 2.0 conversion route, I wanted to keep the car with matching numbers. The engine is the standard block 1300, re built to now produce 125bhp, @ 8000rpm. I have a 2.0 but for the UK roads where high speeds are nearly always unachievable, its perfect.
The small block gear ratios allow it to rev nicely, and it’s got a LSD too.

Got you on Instagram, Ben, what a stunning car! I like that you've stuck with the Nord engine too!
I had one of these on the shortlist when looking at doing a classic fast road type project, along with a guilia, just something about the 4 door box too! Maybe one day.
Any further plans?

Beautiful! Very nicely done indeed. I have a stepnose that I race (and use on the road) but I do wonder if I should grab another for road use only as the racer is a tad noisy for road use over any real distance! Seeing pics of you car takes me to the classifieds!
Thanks James, lovely Stepnose you have. Did you bring it down to Castle Combe a while back, I`m sure ive seen it down south before.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
