While there is no doubt that OLED TVs are measurably significantly less bright, I'd doubt you would have a problem unless sunlight falls directly on the screen. My Sony A9 is only ever run at 50% brightness in a light room - lot of window area, but no direct sunlight.Both technically deliver a stunning picture

OLED is coming down in price and Samsung announced the QD-OLED at CES which they are punting as the next best thing. Will be interesting to see what LG do to counter the marketing.
OLED is really nice and as above if you are in a reasonably laid out room with no direct sunlight you should be fine.

The picture quality is simply next level and miles better than any technology we've had before.
