TVR Tuscan Challenge Car Chassis
Discussion
Does anyone know what chassis TVR used for the Challenge Race Car? I can't imagine they'd have created a one specific for the car, so I'd bet on it being one of the others in the range? Or if it is a specific chassis for that car, does anyone know where I could get hold of the CAD drawerings (long shot that one mind, but you never know.......)
Based on an S apparently - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVR_Tuscan_Challenge
John Reid ran the Challenge. His website is out of date, but there are still contact details. He is probably your best bet.

Yes its based on the S chassis. If you look at a Tuscan racecar you can see quite a lot of S shape in the car. You can also see where the later rounded cars shapes come from. All the later cars chassis share cross bracing underneath the engine which is said to be a direct link to the Tuscan race chassis.
Maybe the TVRCC have details on the chassis or at least some photos.

I would imagine it must be based on the V8S S series chassis as that is later model, anyone have an idea if you can get hold of any AutoCAD diagrams of the chassis (long shot.....). I guess the other route would be to buy a V8S series car and pop the top off it (I think that could be a hold my beer sort of moment tbh)
Just buy yourself the whole car. Trip to Holland when you are allowed. Fill the boot with the local cheese that you might have heard of, set yourself up at a farmers' market when you get back. "Nice little earner, Terry.....!"

Someone asked a similar Q on the TVR club forum (guy called Tim)
The club secretary directed him to Graham Walden who races a Tuscan challenge car - email: wal@blackcatracing.net.
The other avenue might be Lawfield Engineering in Blackpool - ex-factory people there.
Comments above re the V8S are a little misleading. The V8S is probably similar in dimensions but the chassis is very different on the Tuscan racer...not least in that the V8S had trailing arm rear suspension, but the Tuscans had a wishbone set up.
