Banks without call centres?

Does anyone know of a bank which does not have a foreign call centre?

Also, I heard of a website which lists companies that don't have foreign call centres but I can't remember the web address and a trawl through Google hasn't produced anything. Anyone know of this at all?

Any info much appreciated.

NB: Please can we avoid this thread descending into a series of rants about call centre experiences?

Go with First Direct, best bank ever, and all Scottish call reps as far as I know.

Not quite. I was tring to arrange a banker's draft - needless to say it didn't turn up when needed and I ended up in India talking to a brick wall. Later I tried again, got through to someone in the UK and they said 'that shouldn't have happened'.
But apart from that, FD are very good.

Well, 1FD is HSBC and HSBC are happy to shift most call centre stuff to India/China. I guess they must have a policy to route 1FD calls to the UK whereever possible?

Do NatWest still have that claim that they'll automatically connect you to your local branch (during normal hours)?
I think I've only needed to call them once, but it did work, and no pointless ID checks etc.

some words of warning - if their banking CC's are anything like their IFA/broker support CC then you're stuffed as they are full of absolute mucking fuppets. although the girlies do have nice accents as they're based in greenock but service standards?

Bank of Scotland (not the Royal Bank of Scotland) are all based in the UK - either Glasgow, Halifax, Leeds or in the coming months N.Ireland.

RBS own Natwest, as well as a rather large list of other companies. They tend to keep the original branding though.
