What’s peoples take on these?

I’ll be honest, I’d completely forgotten they’d even existed until I saw one today.

I like it (colour included) and especially the retro wheels.

All that said, I kind of feel like they could have done something more special, but hey what do I know!

With just less than 2k of them in the wild they’re not super exclusive but I guess the values will be quite healthy.

Only managed one snap!

I think the 50th car looks amazing in every way - i couldn't buy one at list otherwise it would have been a keeper for my 50th (7 years ago now)

this was the one with the retro green dials....and on that point i find it odd how nobody seems to option this with their new 911 orders.

https://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/e...

The Heritage Design Package Pure takes selected interior items of the limited-edition 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition and makes Heritage Design accessible to all 911s.

in some models it is a free upgrade, yet i haven't seen anyone option it. I guess no love for the retro green dials, or that the option is so buried in the configurator people aren't aware of it (even OPDs)....its not the easiest to spot and appears as an option once a previous option is selected.

It was always there for the Turbo, just buried in the configurator

The picture of the one you snapped OP is Geyser Grey...which is unique to the 50th I believe. I like the look of them but I think they are a Carrera S underneath although some were specced with the Powertkit so same power as GTS I think...like the 997 Sport Classic they are identical mechanically to much cheaper cars which detracts from the allure for me. If they'd say put some lightweight options/spec on it, LSD, Powerkit, Manual gearbox etc they would be more interesting cars.

I just sold my one in order to make room for some incoming vehicles, I was very sad to see it go and would have kept it if I had the room. It depends on how you look at it really. You could say not special enough, or you could say all the best things of the non-motorsport 911 range plus a bit more. Mine was a manual model so it ticked that box, lovely NA engine, I loved the green dials and the houndstooth seats, the little things you see and touch every day. I liked that it was a special "normal" vehicle as opposed to something based on the GT/motorsport line up which suited me as this was more of a daily type vehicle. Compared to other numbered 911 models like the Sport Classic etc (these were made in much higher numbers than them to be fair) it isn't crazy priced.
