Decent dexterity winter gloves
Discussion
I've walked/run/cycled thousands of miles in these. Best gloves I've ever had.

I have a pair of these Decathlon gloves that are a reasonable compromise between keeping you warm and being able to feel the controls properly. They are not as good as thinner gloves, so I use them approx below 5C only. Also great VFM, like most Decathlon gear.

Fox Fire Defend for me into my 3rd winter of riding and trying different gloves
Very warm, snug fit. I use these for MTB but will use for cold road riding too. This weekend when people were spewing about cold fingers in the damp fog these were toasty. Really pleased with these
Yet to try in heavy rain sorry but they appear to repel water
Also tried (I'm same as you re. big warm gloves or neoprene)
100% Brisker (movement fine, didnt do it for me in the wet, s
t quality)
100% Hydromatic (these are actually ok for movement on mtb despite being a little bulky, warm in the wet. Dont like them for road use)
Giant Chill XL (Very warm, mine are too big)
Castelli Perfetto (used these twice I think, useless)
I've various others but they are for summer use
