Vents

Hello all
I have always wanted a vented bonnet..found one on ebay .I have been told that panels are not interchangeable is this correct or am I best cutting them into my bonnet. Colin

I thought they were the same size? Graham from Blackcats panels would confirm as he has all the moulds.

I've bonnet propped up against a shed that someone has cut a couple of NACA type vents in it.
Beware, the bonnets may all look the same but the HEATER vent moulding thing is in a different position.

After reading old posts I maybe be best buying the vents and cutting them in

Did these last year using a coke bottle to get the curve at both ends - I sprayed the bonnet in the shed using 2K. They vent the heat directly from above the manifolds and look prettry good IMO.

A previous owner had cut vents in the standard bonnet on mine, About 10 years ago I found a 450 vented one on ebay, After a colour change , easy straight swop.
