Smart ideas to integrate TV here?

Chaps, advice from the knowledgable please.
I’ve moved to a new house and am struggling to work out the best / least intrusive position for the TV.
The gap between the fireplace and wall is approx 1118mm, the TV is 1219mm and Sonos bar is 1142mm.
I bought a Sanus stand which allows some swivel but the TV has sort of taken over the room, I’m wondering whether I need to buy a smaller TV, sacrilege I know! And the sound bar is still too wide doh!

Given no one else has any ideas... Could you turn it to portrait orientation, and watch it while laying on the settee?

Otherwise, a smaller telly and a playbase might be the suggestion. I think it needs to go in the gap more and behind the window if possible.

Can you take a photo from further back, and do a floor plan of the room?

Put the TV back against the wall in the recess (where the bookcase is).
Fit mirrored glass in to the window.

Bracket on the chimney breast, fold out the way when not in use - into the alcove, pos flat it the depth of the chimney breast allows it, and then swing it round when in use.

Doh - ignore that, just noted your measurements! Err... Smaller TV plus the above?!

Yep, come to the conclusion it’s a smaller tv (and sound bar) and a Sanus extending wall bracket which will allow it to be pushed back flush to the wall (well actually into a bookcase I’m planning for) when not in use.

It looks pretty bad like that.

I'd go for a lower, larger, triangular rustic wooden stand, with cupboard/drawers to hide all wiring.

Fit that as best you can so the front is diagonal from the stone wall to the other wall.

It would take a bit of head scatching to work it out but i have done it in the past if you absolutely have to keep the tv and soundbar.

Long, single arm, dual pivot, swivel bracket on the same wall as the window, set in a little from the front edge of the chimney.

TV and soundbar on the wall bracket and set so the is pivot / swing is from a diagonal with the tv tucked in the alcove, LHS in the back corner of the wall/chimney, RHS of tv probably close the the window edge.

The as it pulls out, the tv will sort of slide sideways to sit at almost at the other extreme, either out in the room as it is in the photo or more infront of the window.

Does that work. Plenty of brackets offer hangers for soundbar.

A floorplan with dimensions would be useful....if it *has* to go in that corner, you definitely need a smaller TV, possibly a lot smaller if you don't want it dominating the room. But the position of the window and depth of the fireplace are always going to be a compromise.

("Modifying" the fireplace might not be a bad shout!).

Thanks all, am going to replace it with a 48-50” TV a smaller Sonos sound bar and an extending Sanus wall mount that wil, allow the TV to disappear into a bookcase I’m having built when not in use.
