I just noticed on the telly that they're re-releasing the "War Of The Worlds" album. Apparently it's a new improved, digitally remastered, whiter than white, best ever, or your money back, contains boswellox, version.

I think I might buy that - and reminisce my teenage years, with my own teenage kids! :)

I have had the double album for ages (about 3 years), digitally remasted using Sony's super bitmapping, it sound brilliant

It's an awsome soundtrack it has to be said! Know it's really cheesy but went to a fireworks display done to War of the Worlds and it was one of the best I've seen for it!
Anyone seen the new flick? Any thoughts???

I was at Cheltenham in 1992 (I think) for the national HOG (Harley Owners Group) Rally. On friday night, the finale was a laser show to "Run Like Hell". I was REALLY impressed, and I staggered to my tent thinking, well, how the hell are they going to beat that tomorrow night?

Simple. Play "War of the Worlds" and do a show to that. Absolutely brilliant.

I saw a special edition on vinyl the other day at HMV in Basildon.

You can get the SACD version now with remixed stereo or 5.1.
Quite fancy it in a darkened room with a HQ 5.1 sytem and a bottle of Absynthe

Fantastic Album,my own favourite is "The Spirit of Man" with the late Phil Lynott(sounds like a right nutter) and the fantastic voice of Julie Covington of "Dont Cry for me Argentina" fame.

Agreed, his opening lines are delivered in a brilliant deep baritone - chilling. The music is a bit second rate, but it was a "concept album" after all.

One of my current clients is SONY and they very kindly let me purchase from the staff shop.

I picked up the double CD of War of the Worlds for £5. Bargain.

Edit: It appears to be the digitially remastered hybrid SA-CD / CD version too.
