Great interview - Rosberg and Grosjean
Discussion
Once again Nico Rosberg making some amazing content on his YouTube channel well worth a half hour watch

That was very good, thanks OP for highlighting it. Nico is a good interviewer, and has the perspective of and respect from the drivers. Interesting to hear them talk so much about psychology and mental health, we know that Nico shut himself off from everything in 2016, and said afterwards that he walked away because the mental challenge screwed up everything else in his life for that year.
Not listed to the Grosjean one yet, but did listen to the Button one a few moments ago.
Generally haven't got on with Rosberg stuff in the past, but actually really enjoyed this one. A great listen and a few snippets of stories coming out from extra curricular activities which was good fun. i.e story of buttons broken knuckle.
Rosberg was very honest about the affect his battle on Hamilton had on him with Button. Him describing his foot shaking of the accelerator pedal and that perpetuating is a good demonstration of how that years battle took it out of him and the driving alongside Alonso vs Hamilton was also an interesting discussion point.
Couple of nice testemants r.e their fathers, and Jenson telling rosberg that keke was his dads favourite driver etc with genuine reaction between friends.

Rosberg is a very smart cookie . I suddenly 'got ' why he was able to mess with Hamilton's mental stability in 2016 when I heard Rosberg interviewed by Nick Trott, then at Motor Sport. Interviewees don't normally destabilise an interviewer so effectively by asking some questions of their own . Perfectly polite , doubtless with a smile on his face but irritating and distracting as hell for the target.

Yep, though he also had to stoop to some dubious tactics and it was only Hamilton’s ‘brand new’ engine going pop that gave him the world title. There was also more to that year than met the eye in Mercedes. Will have to wait for Hamilton’s book for that though. Another great interview today this time Rosberg is getting Alain Prost to give maybe the best interview he’s ever given about the ins and outs of mind games between team mates - worth a watch! (Just to find out the real reason he got the nickname the professor).

I linked it in the elite thread. Fascinating and some nuggets we didn't know, quite amazing that they spoke on the phone so frequently in the last six months.. the story about the Geneva Motor Show was also amazing.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
