I know this has been covered quite a bit but I read an interesting article on a company called K.A.D(Kent Auto Developments) in a Jap tuning mag the other day. This company make custom brake setups for customers based around discs as big as will fit in your rims, 6 pot calipers and braided hoses and they are finished in a fetching blue colour. I e-mailed them and they think they could produce a kit for the HSV/Monaro if there were more than five people interested to make the effort worth it. Compared to the price of kits I have seen they are well priced for what you get(Around £1300+vat for fronts) and I told the guy there I would pass on the info to you guys. The address for all you Monaro guys with standard brakes is www.kad-uk.com.

Why go to someone unknown when you can buy sensibly priced kit off the self like, AP, Harrop, HSV? who also make stuff that is used on the race track...

Kents a bit of a hotspot for "custom" brake upgrades with Hi Spec being there too. I think KAD may be an offshoot. I'm not connected with Hi Spec but I have had them make me a 4 x 325mm set up specifically for a kit car and for ferrous rotors I'd suggest the product is a good alternative to AP and cheaper too.

Now your asking. TBQH I cant remember but it was cheaper than AP and I got them tailored to the car. Basically the biggest that would fit.

KAD aren't unknown to me, they've been known in mini circles for years and years, mainly casting their own twin cam 16 valve heads to go on mini's, alloy 4/6 pot calipers, rear disc brake conversions, and if you look at their website a great deal of brakes for japanese cars.
If i had a monaro i would be chipping in to buy brakes from KAD, the main reason being 3-4 k seems expensive for some disc's calpiers and pads, even if they are from oz, and i thought LC brakes were expensive !

I used Hi-spec on a previous car, let just say I hope they have sorted them selves out, I would need alot of convincing to go back.

What problems did you have? I found them very very hard to get hold of over the phone but once in touch they were very helpful.
