Surely there has to be more to this tragedy:

What in God's name has the value of the house got to do with this story?

We need to know the value of property in all Daily Mail stories.

It is crucial.

If it’s just over parking what a total waste of 4 lives. Stupidity at its finest.

Come on Eric, how can people feel more successful than others and feel all smug about it if they don't know how much the house cost?

You know as well as we do Eric that it is a long running joke by the Daily Mail to put the house price into almost every headline they possibly can, irrespective of it being totally irreverent or inappropriate.

They have been doing it for 20 years, and they know everyone mocks it, but it has become 'their thing' to do, so they do it.

I always wonder about cases like this long after they're forgotten.

Do the murderers spend their terms being eaten alive or programming themselves not to care? Years down the line do they shrug and put it down to a red mist or spend every waking moment still in torment?

Two orphans created, multiple families destroyed, and all over what might be some inconvenience...

awful

I wonder what the prior police contact has been. Is this another case where the Police wheeled out the 'it's a civil matter' line - and now its a criminal one.

Pointless speculation I know.

Absolutely. And how can one person lose their rag and beat another to a point of unconciosness or death?
How does someone not think 'hold on, this could go very wrong'.
The woman also lost her life too - WTF?!

It's all a bit nuts isn't it. I drive past this place on my commute, just the usual new build type estate. Seems weird when it is quite close to home.

I think you'd like to think that there must be more to it (drugs, cheating etc) than first appears so that you can be assured that it couldn't happen to you, but I guess some people can just flip and do things like this.

Sounds like either the perps were known to the police, or this parking problem had been reported to them previously, presumably threats made or something. Be interesting to see what other info comes out about it.

Absolute insanity.

A quick look on Google Maps shows a lot. Loads of houses, all on top of each other, some houses obviously have "their" parking spot, people painting their own numbers on the parking spaces, I can imagine tempers running high if someone repeatedly parks closest to their front door, either in, or blocking someone else's space, but this must have escalated to a crazy level. The Police have reported themselves to the IPCC because they have had previous with the people invovled - so it''s been long running and reading between the lines, neither side was willing to just let it go.

Poor, poor kids.
