Where does the fresh air come from in an S?
Discussion
Hi
I'm working out how to plumb in some ventilation into the Tuscan, and I'm guessing my 'problem' has been solved on the S series.
Like the Tuscan, you folks have a 'tub' with a completely separate bonnet and no front wings as such. I'm guessing therefore you can't be picking up the fresh air for ventilation from the front of the car then. And if it comes in just from the front of the 'tub' I guess it would be hot! So, where's the air intakes for the heating/cooling/ventilation on an 'S' then?
Thanks

S has 2 corrugated tubes either side of the front grille, they go right back the length of the engine and into the tub through the inner wing.
you can see the offside one at the bottom of this pic:
In this pic you can (just) see it under the servo where it disappears into the tub - you can also see the nearside one above the throttle linkage:

Thanks for the quick replies folks. Not actually what I wanted to hear though, as I've no spare 'holes' at the front. Plus I was trying to avoid running pipes back through the engine bay. I'd hoped maybe there was some place under the car or in the tunnel where there might be some cool air to pick up
Back to the drawing board. Best solution I can come up with then is a naca style intake on the side.

Am I really the only person who thought "from the sky" or "take the roof off" ?
Open the window??
Just to confirm...I don't have an 'S', it's a Tuscan, but I guessed the ventilation issues would be the same as the 'tub'/bonnet are of basically the same design. I don't have a roof or side windows at all, but I do have a big lump up front that will generate a huge amount of heat so I'm looking at ways to get lots of cool air into the cockpit.
