He's from Grimsby, that's not East Midlands, it's Yorkshire

Confusingly some Google results say Yorkshire while some say Lincolnshire.

As a Yorkshireman, I can positively inform you that Grimsby is firmly in Lincolnshire.

As a Yorkshireman, I can positively inform you that Grimsby is firmly in Lincolnshire.

It's in the ceremonial county of Lincolnshire, but also falls within the level 1 administrative region of Yorkshire and the Humber.

He's from Lincolnshire, given it borders Yorkshire they aren't all that different in many ways. I think a Southerner would be hard pushed to tell the difference between Yorks, Lancs and Lincs accents, particularly of people who grew up near the borders.
