We’ve just bought a Jazz through Cinch and the service book is missing so I’ve no idea which dealer serviced the car or if it has even been serviced at all?

Would Honda UK be able to help or maybe my local dealer would have access to all records?

On the verge of returning the car but apart from this issue it seems fine, Cinch serviced it just before delivery but that’s the only record despite them saying it does come with service history.

Sadly not. Honda UK don't keep a central system for service records. All service records for Honda are kept by the dealer group who did the service(s).

How old is it, and what mileage?

We’ve had 3 Jazzs in the family and they need very little servicing and the oil stays remarkably clean. I’m convinced one of ours wasn’t touched one service visit but you wouldn’t know.

Honda UK may be able to identify the supplying dealer - do Cinch change the plates?

When I was tracing the service history for my sisters fiat 500 I called Fiat who were able to advise which dealership sold the car from new.. So I contacted them and they were able to advise what work had been done for all the years it had come back to them.

Thanks all, it’s a 2016 model on 30k, the concern is mainly the CVT fluid which should be changed every 2 years.

Cinch add their own plates but it’s HV prefix so Hampshire area, should narrow it down to a few supplying dealers, maybe one of them has looked after it. Will make some calls.

might be worth seeing if you could find out the approx area of the first owner ring dealer groups around there? Or you could just ring the several different dealer groups and there system might have a record of your car? Bit of leg work but worth chasing up. I recently did this with my Alpina and found two missing services to complete the folder!

It comes up on the Jazz forum I keep an eye on that dealers don’t do it unless asked, or, if the customer makes a fuss afterwards they insist it was done but they forgot to tick the box.

It doesn’t seem to regarded as a problem unless it’s missed several changes.

You probably know now but I got no history on my CRV and my nearest Honda gave me the full history info as it was all done at honda part of the 5 year service pack it came with when new, also had one outstanding which they later did.
