I've defected from the TVR pages to here. I've swopped my Cerbera for an M3 Evo convertable with the sequential box. We are finalising the deal on Friday and seeing as I'm new to the BMW Marque, I'll need all the advice I can get in the future. I hope you lot are as useful as the TVR lads. Let me be the first to say the obvious.......reliability.......!!! I'm hoping to be on the road more than in the garage!
First question. Does anyone know of any good independent service garages near Chester??
That'll do for now. Cheers lads.

Hi Benjy,
Welcome to the BMW side of things
Two PH'ers that seem to know about the M3 Evo, and are dead helpful, are RobbieM-Evo & pdavison – they were pretty knowledgeable on this thread….

With regards to the old dealer –vs- independent garage debate, I have used both and have found that the dealerships aren’t necessarily more expensive than the these independent guys, and at least at the dealership you get the BMW logo in the service history and your car valeted after each visit...
