Round 19 and Brazil; these triple headers come round quick. Circuit altitude is 800m, not as high as Mexico but probably enough to favour the RB aero package again. If Max wins, you’d say he’s looking good for the championship. Max also won here in 2019, the race where Lewis punted off Albon.

With Perez now showing strong form, RB have a good chance of taking the WCC lead, quite a turn around after Turkey and the momentum seems to be with them now. Let's just hope for a more interesting race than last weekend!

Timings are again all quite UK friendly but it’s a Sprint format weekend (sorry) and this really messes up the C4 TV coverage.

Date(s): Friday 12 November to Sunday 15 November 2021.

UK Broadcast Timings (and local time)

All sessions are live on Sky F1 and as highlights on Channel 4.

Live timing for all sessions available here:

https://www.formula1.com/en/f1-live.html

Lap times, PU component use, technical reports and Stewards' decisions for the weekend will appear here:

https://www.fia.com/events/fia-formula-one-world-c...

Weather forecast:

https://weather.com/en-GB/weather/today/l/-23.55,-...

Tyre options:

Teams have two hard, three mediums and eight soft sets available per driver for each weekend.

Another one of these silly sprint things.

Let’s take the most boring bit of the race, the first third, and do it again on Saturday, but with a massive amount of added jeopardy so no-one risks anything…

And in 2019 Mercedes had a hydraulic failure on Bottas' car.

That would seal the championship for Red Bull!

Any news yet on whether or not these sprint races are staying for next year?

There'll be 6 of them next year, so yes, they're staying.

Sadly they’re proving popular with the audience.

I can see what they’re trying to do, but it just needs a bit of tweaking. Run them as standalone races for a standalone championship, make the teams use one reserve driver, give them a new engine so they get turned up and can actually sprint, there’s plenty of things that they can do to improve on the idea.

Using them as the qualifying session for the actual GP, with the engines that have to be reliable for the whole season, just doesn’t work though, it’s the worst of all worlds.

I think the plan is to have quali be actual quali again, i.e. it sets the grid for the Grand Prix, they're just trying to work out what to do with the Sprint Race.

A few years ago, Mercedes opted to take an engine penalty in Brazil on Hamilton's car. I guess they decided at the time that it was a better circuit to take a grid penalty than Abu Dhabi.

Bet they'll do the same this weekend

Due to the lack of high speed aero-dependent corners, and the length of the full throttle section up to T1, Mercedes may gain a lot of benefit from the setup advance they seem to have gained in their rear suspension sitting down. I know all teams are doing it, but the benefit Mercedes were releasing was the talk of the town in Turkey.

There has been no beautification or sainting of Ocon or Hamilton or other current drivers because they are still active.
The beautification of Senna and Schumacher are complete, because they sadly aren't around anymore.

So far 100% of F1 sprint qualifying weekends have resulted in a collision between Hamilton and Verstappen where one or both DNF!

difference is that it would easier to list the people who didnt want to punch Irvine ...not sure the same could be said of Ocon
