I always like keeping an eye on the car market for any bargains.

I’m a massive fan of the new GR Yaris but was surprised to see a load of the cars sitting on Autotrader with the circuit park.

In my head the GR Yaris will appear to a niche group who will have one already on order. It seems like it is shaping up here to be an over supply of GR Yaris’ that is eventually going to turn into some nicely discounted cars before the waiting list clears?

Could also say the same of the Audi S3 and M3/4 market.

Consensus seems to be that most of them aren't actually cars that those dealers have for sale.

Think your being a bit hopeful OP.

As previously mentioned many for sale are not physical cars. I can see these holding their value for some time.

Toyota will definitely not be discounting them

Ah get you all now I wasn’t aware this was the way it.

Was hoping to sneak in for one towards the end of the 2022 if they needed to get rid of a few scalper cars with a few pound off.

Don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you get one by all accounts

Absolutely not. Spectacularly good cars.

Fake ads, or advertised on behalf of owners testing the water to see if they can make a profit?

I think a lot of dealers do it to get footfall and then try to sell another car to the prospective buyer.

Would this work with this type of car but?

Surely its a very specific market who are going to view this car who really know what they want.

I don't see anything much changing until spring/summer 2023 when there'll be a fair few cars coming to the end of their 2 year 0% PCPs, but a lot of owners, me included, will just stump up the £18k or so to make the car a keeper.

Think there's also a lot of dealers hoping to get people to place "orders" without telling them the car isn't available....a bit like Porsche dealers but without them removing £10k from your wallet for the privilege.

As long as there is a list the cars values will stay high, people are paying 38k+ for pre registered circuit pack cars at toyota, even with 2k miles on (even ex demo cars included in that)

Lots of people are realising they have missed the boat and are happy to pay overs now the order books are closed, there's people asking publicly every day on the FB page.

As someone else has said, best chance of getting a bargain is once the 2 year PCP's start to end on the first cars and some people might not keep them and values may dwindle for a short period but long term they will go back up, even if that does happen.

Either way, id advise on getting one, they are truly awesome bits of kit and this is coming from someone who had no intention of getting one until i had a go of one for the weekend laugh
