Thinking of switching to a 520d from 2018 with 40 k miles
I've had the 2016 for 3 years and its been a beut
Am I mad to change ?

Would that be an f10 to a g30?

How much is the cost to change?

Great question

I'm in Ireland and thr prices are brutal
My 2016 cost €28.5k 3 years ago
The 2018 is on for €35.5
Cost of change is €16k before haggling

Prices here are horrific

Wouldn’t bother spending £16k on the same car.

Hmmm…

The 2018 will be the G which is much nicer inside and obviously looks a lot more up to date. It depends where you see the value, ultimately.
This is just my personal view, but if the 2016 is in great condition, I’d keep running it and spend the 16k on a motorbike.

Do it. I went from an F10 to the G30 and found it a big step up in regards to modern feel and quality. Feels so much more of a nicer car. No regrets at all. I’ve had mine over a year now and still like it. Usually I have a car about 6 months and start wanting a new one but I’m really happy with this one.

I’ve had an F10 and now a G30 and the G30 is definitely an upgrade in every way. It feels nicer and better built, more modern, and with better tech. The whole car feels lighter and more responsive. But it maintains the cruising ability and space you expect.

Drive one if you can, but if you’re happy with the F10 and fancy a change, you should be even happier with the G30.

I'd be tempted to buy one in the UK & bring it across.

Thanks for the advice

I’m taking the newer one for a day next week

Thanks for the links Re: buying in the UK. But I’d have VAT plus VRT tax to pay when I import.

Took the 2018 for the day. Stunning car. Definitely a step up from f10 but the money is just a bridge too far for now.

If theres nothing wrong with the F10 just keep that. G30 isn't double the car of an F10.
