2011 mk3 bose stereo question

have done a quick search but not having much joy but basically can i listen to the music on my phone as standard or will i need some adaptor or stereo upgrade?

They have a 3.5mm AUX socket so personally I use a 3.5mm lead along with a 3.5mm female to Lightning adapter as I have an iPhone.
