It is with a heavey heart that i have to report that a competior in the Kumho BMW championship was killed in a freak accident in qualifying at Thruxton this weekend.

With a sport like this the risks are always there but you always ignore them as racing is just somthing you have to do once it gets in your blood. Every now and then somthing happens to remind you how big those risks are. Usually you carry on and laugh away an off ocassionaly people dont.

I would like to offer my condolances and also from the team and the whole of the tasmin challenge to the friends and family of the deceased.

It is always sad to hear when someone gets killed racing, especially at club level where you just don't expect it to happen. When things like this do go wrong on the circuit, it brings the point home that it can happen to anyone.
My sincere condolences to the family.
