I'm so sorry, what a bunch of Wank*rs I hope they get caught, they won't get very far with your car selling it on etc & no doubt will get caught if they try to, I'll keep my eye out and also let my mate know who's in the trade. What the hell do they think they are doing !

Hope the fu*kers burn in hell! Sorry to hear that man.

Will there be any problems claiming on insurance since they had the keys?

feel very sorry for you.
Would expect the Passat to be send to eastern europe and the Elise to be founded in the next days. Don't know if it is a better option??
Hope the best...

Per my post on SELOC mate, I hope it gets sorted for you.

There will be a cloud with a silver lining... just a sea of cr@p to wade thru beforehand sadly.

Hopefully not as they in had to enter the house to get them. They took a spare house key from a table and let themselves in for a nosy about to get the keys.

Insurance shouldn't be a problem as the keys were taken from a burglary.

If it is any consolation there is a chance that they weren't taken to order, and apparently these days it is surprisingly difficult to off-load stolen cars, so the Passat may go through the 'Trader on false plates or something and the Elise might turn up parked on a street somewhere. Mid you, it depends where you live as my knowledge is fairly localised (and no, I'm not a car theif!!).

To update everywone the Elise did indeed turn up parked up at the side of the road all locked up. The Police have recovered it to a compound. They're going to fingerprint it and then I can have a look. All I know is that there's no major damage on it.

However, the keys aren't with it and Norwich Union now have the spare key so this process could take a couple of days at least. Also, there is no spare alarm fob so that'll have to be replaced before it'll start up again.

I once had my old Fiesta stolen (T reg from last time round) - when they'd finished joy riding (if you can call it that in my old banger), they parked it up neatly and locked it with no damage... In fact, they probably looked after it better than me!

Hope the Elise is in good condition, would have thought they just thought twice about the implications. I also doubt they thrashed it too much after the initial getaway bcos they'd have had unwanted attention from the Police.

Good luck.

Feckin barstardos the lot of 'em...! Glad you got the Lotus back giver her a good wash and polish when she comes home to make up for those cants raping her.

Good luck with the hunt for the P'sat.

This is the very reason I keep the keys to the RS 500 inside a hidden safe located at a house several miles away from where the actual car is stored. I'm taking no risks with some thieving schitnack following me home while I'm in the RS.
