I’ve just been reading on Motor Sport magazine digital about the African American drivers who have shone briefly and then struggled to get funding to continue their careers. Lewis has his Extreme team but no black drivers. He spends time in the USA so should be aware of these guys.
I just think it’s a bit hypocritical to be lecturing the world when he could be spending some of his millions or getting his friends to spend theirs on these guys or even finding an appropriate female.

Which black rally driver do you suppose Lewis Hamilton should replace Sebastian Loeb with?

Also could you kindly explain the relevance of the Black Lives Matter movement to top tier professional motorsport?

Finally, one of the drivers of team X44 is female, as mandated by the series competition regs.

I’m sure in some national championships in the States, Middle East or Africa there are drivers who regularly win but don’t have the financial opportunity to progress. Likewise taking them out of those situations where they don’t have to have a main job and driving is secondary their abilities can be enhanced by training and simulator work.
I believe that BLM was initially promoted as a topic by some drivers by taking the knee. Is it now done for a different purpose?

I’m just surprised that someone who has millions in the bank doesn’t get involved in this. I love seeing people giving opportunities to people to better their situations. We have Help For Heroes guys racing cars despite losing limbs. We have Formula W. Going outside of motorsport there are lots of occasions where people help others to achieve their potential.
I don’t have millions and none of my friends from ethnic backgrounds have but we share many interests in sports and love seeing young talent progressing.

Other than the £20M he pledged three months ago?

I am sorry Tazar but you appear wilfully ignorant of what he’s up to. It’s very easy to find out.

There's some ill informed bks posted on PH at times. This is right up there with the added bonus of it being a desperate bid to have another pop at Hamilton. 1/10 for Trolling. Must try harder.

All very odd. Check out the drivers in NASCAR,
Darrell Wallace - African American
Daniel Suarez - Mexican
Dannica Patrick - good grief, do they let women do it as well?

It’s insufferable twaddle, peddled by bigots looking for affirmation and it seems to be a growing trend on PH, it’s as though this forum is regarded as fertile ground. I wish they’d f*ck off back to Guido or wherever else they trade their hatred.

Go check out Google, BLM as an organisation is nothing to do with F1 drivers taking a knee.

I despair at the type of people that seem to think they are in some sort of "safe place" here at PH where they can peddle their racism and bigotry. It's time PH was a bit more forceful in applying some behavioural standards.

It's easy enough to demonstrate the pattern too, some other postings from the OP exploring various ways of indirectly criticising Lewis:

And then last year he announced he was giving up on F1 anyway:

It’s good to see a collective stance, shame it doesn’t happen across PH but at least there are some prepared to stand up to this bile. I’m heartened at the response to this cretin and hope he can be chased back to wherever he feeds on his hate, no place on here.

Tbf Lewis is just a priveledged scumbag.

I'm not sure what bigotry you guys are are seeing in the OPs post.

For me all multi millionaire celebrities, sports people etc could and should be doing much more for less priveledged people. Then again they can do what they want with what's theirs, but the World looks on.

Eh? Why have you singled out celebrities and sports people there? Why should they do any more than any other wealthy people?

And how much should they do and give away? Can you define the minimum % of their time and wealth they should give up before you stop judging them as scum?

Before casting opprobrium on others, look to yourself first.

You don't know me at all to know what I have or do not have or do or not do for other people so pipe down.

Once you’ve learned to spell privilege take the trouble to understand the meaning of the word. Once you’ve grasped that we can move on to discuss the bigotry in play, we will do it in stages and take it at a pace that you can handle.

I love the fact that people complaining about privileged people say they should help 'under' or 'lesser' privileged people... As if there is a correct level or privilege that needs to be met! I don't have a fraction of what Lewis had but I have way more than many - I am not privileged at all, I'm worse than 'less privileged' compared to supposed privileged millionaires, I am zero privileged. I have only what I have earned with my own effort and wit. A bit like Lewis...

The fact that anyone even starts to consider themselves or anyone else insufficiently 'privileged' just goes to show how entitled they are in their thinking. Privilege at any level is not something to aim for nor demand assistance with.

And yet you cast the same aspersions on people you don't know who just have a level of fame that makes their face recognisable. Interesting logic.
