Now I am a big fan of the Wedge, having had a few. Especially the later ones. And would have been very interested in this when is came up on Collecting Cars in the summer if I had not just splashed out on a 4.3 pre-cat Griff.
However this does look a bit ambitious even for a very nice car and great colour combo.

I know it is one of 3. I remember one of the others at Barnet TVR many years ago. Mica red like my 400SE. At the £18k is went to auction for seems about right but is pricing really here for these. I love them but they are nowhere nearly as resolved as the Griffs or Chimps. Or even the late v8s with which it overlapped.

Is it the same 4.3 engine found in the early Griffs and Chimaeras? If so, having had one of each, I think it is the sweet spot. Punchier than the 4 and revs much better than the 5 litre.
Not sure that offsets the price. I think I could be persuaded to almost do a straight swap for my Griff but no way would I add money to the deal. And the 400/450 Wedge is about my favorite TVR shape. Above even the T350 and Tuscan cars. But I am a kid of the '80s!
