Nope, not really... nothing really upsetting or not known, basically you're not missing anything in skipping it.

Only thing I didn't know is that Horner is married do Gerry Halliwell, I must change my reading habits

Or watching habits - she spends a good amount of time in the pitlane with Horner, and in the Netflix series wink.

You mean I should stop focusing on cars' details and have a broader situational awareness?

Hence the quips about him being Grumpy Spice, or something along those lines.

I’m impressed that you concentrate on the important things and not let your concentration be diverted by the pit popsies (as they were known in the olden days).

I thought this was an interesting comment from Horner:

“I have no issue with Toto but we are very different people. I tend to be quite straight and quite direct, that’s the way I’ve always operated. He operates in a different way but I have a lot of respect for what he’s done.”

If by ‘straight and direct’ he means ‘full of bullst’, I’d be inclined to agree. However it’s Wolff that I would consider the far more straightforward and honest of the two. I see Wolff in the same mould as Lauda, someone who is very good at taking the emotion out of a situation and generally being pretty brutally honest, both about his team and drivers and their competitors.

Indeed I thought it very strange that Horner was claiming qualities that he palpably lacks

Surely he is not that deluded?

He's perhaps conflating 'direct' with 'rude and obnoxious'?

He has had his moments but I've no strong feelings against him. However I can see how some might!

Horner is straight and direct, the problem is it is rarely correct.

It's possible he's speaking about his actual personal and (internal) professional manner as opposed to the demeanour created by his press responsibilities, and feasibly the same with Toto.

I imagine he'll have had plenty of insight in to how Toto is away from the cameras thanks to all the Mercedes bods Red Bull have recruited hehe

It's worth bearing in mind we don't actually know these people, we know what their press team and professionalism allows us to know, and in reality, little more than that.

Doesn't make it any less fun to speculate though of course smile
