Ecu reset VXR8
Discussion
Good evening.
I recently had an abs sensor go, warning light on dash, no ESP wasn't sure which one but assumed the rear so replaced both.
Seemed good for a few miles then warning again.
Then fault codes popped up osr sensor, reset, replaced again, few miles later the same.
Now I have no abs, ESP and also my speedo has stopped working and " Contact Dealer" has come up.
I would like to try a ecu reset to clear everything then see what happens.
Please could someone tell me the best procedure to do this.
Regards
Mick

Where abouts are you based Mick? I looked on your profile and you haven’t got any details. There’s Top Cats in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. NWJ Auotocare in Gillingham, Kent and AAS in Newcastle upon Tyne that have all got the correct software to plug in and reset all the codes. They’re all trusted and know what they’re doing so can clear the codes for you. If you had an ABS sensor go down it will turn off the ABS, traction control ESP etc on these and even if you’ve replaced the sensor until you tell the computer it’s done and clear the codes you’ll continue to get the message you’re getting.
Rock auto appear to show the abs leads in stock they are about 71£ delivered , in future a cheap 15 £ code reader on ebay can delete error codes but due to gm holden software not as good at reading issues , i use four stroke app plus a wifi obd plug , it diagnosed my 02 sensor fault as was showing a steady non moving voltage

£71 is a lot, have got a pair ordered for £26.
I have a obd reader that works fine normally and a opcom but that doesn't work on the Holden.
I have tried another obd reader but that doesn't show any codes either.
Of course it wont, generic OBD crap is engine only.I have a obd reader that works fine normally and a opcom but that doesn't work on the Holden.

You need a proper scan tool that can read all control modules etc.
On the cheap, Envyous customs might do it
