I’d like to share this with you PT.2
Discussion
Hey everyone. If you remember me I posted a few months ago sharing my 1970 Impala with you all. Well today, I wanted to share my girlfriends new purchase with you.
Her dream car - 1967 Ford Mustang, 4.7 V8.
Cosmetically, is not great. But mechanically it’s awesome. I haven’t taken many photos yet but I will be taking hundreds during the restoration process.
Please, let us know what you think.

Well if nothing else you and your girlfriend seem to be made for each other.
Looking forward to some more details of the Mustang - it doesn't look quite standard!
Indeed it’s not. I’m afraid I’m a typical “all the gear no idea” kinda guy. See, iv never had an interest in typical cars… a Ferrari could pass me and I wouldn’t turn my head because I’m just not interested, yet American muscle have always been a fascination to me, so I had to have one. Truthfully the missus knows more about cars, engines, makes/models than I do but even she couldn’t list off all its “upgrades”.Looking forward to some more details of the Mustang - it doesn't look quite standard!
What we do know is this, it was built to be a drag car. So you can imagine what it’s had done.
Looks to be a 67 Coupe.
The 5 stud wheels indicate that it’s a Factory 8 cylinder car ( sixes came on 4 stud hubs, but they could have been changed )
289 shout outs on the fenders indicate a 4.7 litre motor.
The rims look to be “ Weld Racing “ alloys, ok on a drag car, but this car is crying out for 15 in Minilites or A.R.E ( Bullitt ) mags to toughen it up !
( my 68 SS427 Camaro was on the same Weld rims, when I shipped it over 18 months ago, but a set of new 8x15 Minilites and BFG 235/15 Radial T/As have transformed it !!
Not too sure about the dodgy Mustang decals on that equally odd looking power bulge in the hood though !
Look for rot in the floors, sills and the torque boxes ( front frame rails ) - they rot very badly here. But a full range of body panels are available.
There is a good 67/68 FB group for these cars.

A man of culture I see. You did forget the slightly dodgy spoiler hiding in the back! Looks like a lovely car though - more details of the drivetrain etc, pictures under bonnet please.
