Any suggestions guys?

Some very big differences out there...
Classic/non-classic, limited miles/unlimited etc etc.

Left ear suffering from multiple insurance calls...!!

LHD always causes problems - you can expect to pay 10% more for LHD insurance over RHD.
Limited Miles is the way to go, in my opinion, because not many Ferrari owners get close to the 10,000 miles a year average that the actuaries build into their premium costs (except perhaps looney Ninja!!!).
I may be mistaken but only cars OVER 10 years old are eligible for classic insurance and of course, the more you hike up the excess the lower the premium is. If you simply CANNOT find a low premium then the only solution is to do the financially silly thing - spread the payments and swallow the interest. (something I know a little too much about).

Ah. Normal insult status has been resumed I see. Definite improvement on pervert

On topic again, and as a suggestion, have you asked Joe Macari, Forza288 or other LHD specialist where their customers normally go?

Thanks 456,

I'll give them a call.

How does £1800 sound, unlimited miles, RAC, 1 named driver under 30 and myself over 30?

Most quoted around £2500/3000 mark...

Cheers

In my opinion I reckon that's a good one - The way I think of it, is that it would be £1600 if the car was RHD which is reasonable if you're under 30.
Could be worse - try being under 25....

(NINJA - WHERE ARE YOU??????????)

I agree with Manu- that's a bloody good quote. Unlimited miles too! Bloody hell. I'm defintely over 30 and my insurance is £1100 per car for 5K miles. No points or convictions etc.

Manu has irrevocably claimed "Pervert".

I nearly choked on my lunch. Lucky the keyboard still works No convictions: could that be down to people only ever seeing just a red blur?

Regarding the insurance, that does seem like a very good quote, especially since its LHD. Thats more or less half of what I pay, so very good IMO. Whats the excess? I've got a limit of 6,000 miles, but it shouldn't cost me to increase to 8,000 (will likely need it now). Unlimited mileage too? Probably won't improve on that quote by much, if at all.

Ninja,

excess is £500. I have shopped around now and nothing even gets close to £1800.
Have to say I AM over 30 but 'she' isn't...
Still seems like a decent price to me considering Unlimited miles.

In a couple of weeks I'll know what you're all raving about!
