ISOFIX seat on LATCH?

I've been googling this but can't find a straight answer...

Does a UK market ISOFIX baby seat fit into a US market LATCH system car? Some sources seem to say that the attachment points are the same, and certainly from videos I've found of LATCH and ISOFIX seats being installed they look the same, but I've not been able to find anything saying "yes, you can fit an ISOFIX seat base to LATCH lower attachment points".

Any experiences appreciated!
