Hi All - How common is corrosion on a 997 - Google-fu suggests quite rare? I found a car I’m interested in but the owner has highlighted that the arches all need some form of attention.
Morning! Yes, corrosion on any 997 is rare. Sometimes you'll find some on the rear edges of the front wheel arches due to road rash, but that's about it. A car that needs attention 'on all the arches' should concern a prospective owner subject to inspection, imo.
Thanks for the pointers. I think it is just road rash - I’m probably going to walk away, but for my own info is that an easy fix? Still seems pretty rare!
