Few friends of friends with links to the family etc.

Three kids - 2 siblings & their mum, plus a friend of the kids who was only there for a sleep over.

Father of the two has made some heart breaking posts on social media this morning. Have no idea how you get over something like this happening to your family.

if as I assume this mothers partner (Dad was on holiday on his own in Devon so we assume they are seperated). The he has killed mother then kids as witnesses or such like WTF 4 murders you are dying in jail for that.

Saw some footage of the father visiting the scene - heartbreaking. Not sure how you get over that.

And yes - certainly a life tariff for whoever did it, killing 3 kids is barbaric.

Said it before but my perception is this kind of thing is happening more often.

Doesn't seem quite right filming the father and grandparents at the scene.

The dad will never get over that. If they were my two kids and I didn't have any others I doubt I'd carry on after that.

Couldn't agree more, it's just awfull, I have no idea how people would even begin to move past something like this.

Not sure that the BBC filming the father/grandparents reactions is really necessary right now.

Whilst attempted suicide is terrible, what is completely incomprehensible to me is the taking of 4 innocent lives beforehand..
Just feel so bad for all those left behind in this because their lives can never be the same again....

Yes, news is reporting that the arrested party is 'known' to the family.

Local story is that it's her current / recently ex-partner. Some even referencing him as step father to the kids.

The poor dad had to drive from Devon back home knowing about the deaths.
