Love this, styling is superb we will take 2! we are still waiting for prices to drop though before we can go EVs for our daily's that's the only sticking point for us, meanwhile we will have to stick with our oil burners sadly.

Renault have learned from the Zoe and looked at the mess VW have made of the ID 3. They definitely have a winner here

Some nice touches, but the obvious result of the skateboard platform is that it is starting to look a bit too much like a crossover SUV.

That interior, screen layout and Google infotainment system makes the iD3 look terrible in comparison.

Only problem, deliveries due from late 2022 onwards. It feels like I'm looking at Ev's a year too early.

Not if your order takes 6-9 months to be built... like the ID.3.

Interesting you say that.....as in theory this should give us an idea of the next leaf. I'd expect them to be very veeeery similar underneath. If not, what's the point.

Unless they are going to position the Leaf differently as to not directly compete....buy then...the Ariya is gonna be there isn't it.

Hmm.

I predict this and the next Leaf will be the same apart from interior and exterior styling.

Possibly. Although I'll be leasing via my employer. I can put in an order for an iD3 tomorrow, god knows when the Mégane will be available. Renault opens the order book in Feb, I could be waiting another 6mths before it appears on our company lease site. Or I could hold off, wait for this, to find it's silly money.

The lease prices at work are odd. A Lexus UX300e is £100/mth cheaper than a Honda E.

I agree that lease prices are often surprising and unpredictable.

Does anybody have any idea what ‘usually’ happens with lease prices straight after a new model order book is opened?

Are initial prices usually very competitive to stoke interest and get the orders flowing?

…or are they initially pretty robust, before easing back as initial interest wains?

I’m actually mildly curious about this car. Maybe fwd doesn’t excite me so much but low weight, fairly sophisticated suspension, a focus on being good to drive, it’s quite compact, and it looks quite good. Renault knows how to make cars that handle and it seems they think this is a differentiator.

Seriously considering one to replace my e-Golf. I had nearly twenty years use of a Megane Convertible 1.6 with little or no trouble. Exported out of the country and still in daily use! I went to look at the Kia Ev6 but it's massive and I know that the front spoiler lip would last me a week. Similarly a weekend with an Id4 was pleasant but again bigger than I want.
