Speedo sensor - aaaaargh!!!

I posted this as transducer as this is what it says on my invoice but it is the speedo sensor.

You can not measure it with a volt meter, so i believe(read). Has to be a scope, mines the same so its my first job on Monday. There is also the "converter" found on many cars, mine included, its a "black box" with four wires, floating around behind the dash. Why did you go for the sender ?

Where your Griff has been for the last X weeks. It was £45 (I think ) + VAT.
Seriously pissed off with it now. I've changed the speedo (borrowed one) and this now isn't working. Just want it back working. Lokks like another open cheque moment which I can't afford.
All the other instruments are OK so assuem the earth is alright. Maybe the next job. The list just keeps growing and its an endless money pit. When will it end..
