F1000 - clutchless downshifts?
Discussion
can anyone confirm if these cars require clutch on downshift?
i can see the spec here https://www.jediracingcars.co.uk/race-car-fabricat...
but i'm unfamiliar with bike engines - i know its a sequential box, and after watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viWuolNYGyI
it seems like you can downshift by just blipping the throttle manually.
Is this what the drivers are doing in the series or is everyone actually using clutch/heel+toeing?

Most bike engined single seaters use a flat shifter, a device which will very briefly cut the ignition on an upshift allowing you to make full throttle gear changes, they will also automatically blip the throttle for downshifts so you can left foot brake and there’s no need to toe and heel
