Considering getting this - I know a few people have taken one out and used it.

Pro's and Con's from those in the know?

Rough cost?

Cheers, Tim :wavey:

Hi Tim,

Thought about this and didn't go for it. IIRC it's about £150.

Pros - it could save you more than you paid for it.

Cons - you might not use it and have paid £150 for nothing more than a better nights sleep.

If it's your only car and you don't have any disposable cash or savings then it may be worth it but if you're confident the car is OK, then £150 is nearly a years tax.

BTW looking at the last contributors list on here, you need more work to do!

OTOH, if you get an HGF, it's pretty much paid for the rebuild...

Lot of folks up here in Scotland use it and swear by it (actually surprised Elises haven't been excluded from the number of claims I've heard about!!)

Not sure what options they do now... they used to have two options...

£49 for (upto) three claims of £500... or £99 for (upto) three claims of £1000... oh, and you have to be an AA member, so add a few quid in for that.

It's one of those things... buy it and you'll never need it... don't and you will.

Got it came invaluble whith the HGF in Feb. £50 for £500, £99 for £1000 (the claim is inclusive of VAT) Pinicle insurance underwrite the insurance.

Read the Ts & Cs some stuff about mods.

Saved me a lot.

I got this just in time to save myself a pretty substantial HGF bill a couple of months ago. The claim was settled without complaint, well worth the peace of mind.
