I’m in the process of having some brackets fabricated, as they’re safety critical I’d like the design to be run through a FEA program.

I’m looking for a knowledgeable one man band type set up, rather than a large corporate business. Any recommendations gratefully received.

Ask for Chris

remember FEA can be an open-ended question, and if you want someone to put their name to it /sign it off, it comes at a price...

Many thanks for the link, and the heads up with regards to culpability. Have you used the company you've linked to ?

Please keep your suggestions coming.

He’s a guy I used to work with, and I’ve worked for him doing this exact kind of work.
I used to work with him at AWE Aldermaston, so I think you can probably get a handle on the type of surety involved with the work.
The license for the (decent) software, say ANSYS, sets the user back about £600/week so remember that…

There’s plenty of others, but it costs £5K just for them to switch the PC on…

Have you looked on upwork?

Indeed, no messing about with that stuff ...

Exactly the type of outfits I'm trying to avoid.

I can run it through Inventor if you have a suitable 3D file to send. PM me.

Zero cost - would iron out any 'major' issues and then you can send it to someone who is more of an expert in this field.
