My interest in Subaru's started 19 years ago when my best buddy purchased a mint 92 JDM WRX in flame red. At the time we were all driving $hit boxes and here's my bud rolling up in every petrol heads dream at the time. Roll on 3 years and I was lucky enough to purchase said car. Kept it for 3 fantastic year's. During this time I had a new Cusco fast road clutch and Jun lighted fly wheel fitted. Also uprated the fuel pump to a Walbro... forget which one. Ended up trading for a mint E36 328i Sport, M3 look alike. A decision I always regret. If only I had a warehouse to store my cars.

Roll on to 2019 and I'm driving a Golf GTI when I see a Plasma blue WRX STI Type UK 320R with 35000 mlles at a Subaru dealership. I've always loved this shape. Subjective I know. Anyway I'm on the phone and the dealer paints a fantastic picture of the car. Full service at MD, he's knows the previous owners. Deal done. Had some paintwork done, lip spoiler, set of mudflaps, wheels refurbished, 2nd cat delete, smaller back boxes and an updated dab head unit with Android Auto and Apple car play. Really felt at one with that car. 2 year's on and an offer that made me make another bad decision.

Since then I've had 4 cars. Nice cars, fast and in some cases beautiful. But.... Modern Auto's leave me a little cold.

Scanning the classifieds, as I'm sure all good PH do. I spot this Pearl White WRX STI Type UK 340R. 30000 miles. Full Subaru service history. Dealer owned up to 2014 and the current owner till he traded. A rather nice car. One's like this don't come along to often. Looking forward to collecting on Wednesday. Be nice to change some gears again and have car that needs a bit of tickling till warmed up. Bit like the missus wink

I'll update with some pictures if anyone is interested.

Well spotted. I can only assume it was the supplying dealers logo. It was removed before I collected it.

Never warmed to the hatchback. But instantly liked the saloon when released.

Post fish badge thingy

5 weeks into ownership. 3 of them away working. 5 days in the paint shop.

Clocked up about 800 miles, 400 of them driving back from the dealership in Derby. Trip up to Inverness with her in doors.

Car hasn't missed a beat. No oil usage, No oil in the coolant. Engine oil is nice and clean. It pulls like a train. Really quite impressed. If anything it needs front discs and pads, and pads on the rear. Eurocar parts had their usual mid month or whatever promo it was. So Brembo's waiting to get fitted when I get a 5 mins. HT Autos front splitter has been fitted. Set of black Rallyflaz with white STI logo to fit when I do the brakes. Oil catcher tank on order. One of the PRO-R back boxes has a baffle loose. Not sure if Scorpion still makes them. Awaiting reply. Dealer will be paying.

I did have a tt that couldn't park in the hotel carpark when in Inverness. tted the front bumper, the wing got it a little too. Bsterd.. Only had it 3 days

It's been in for a wheel refurb. Whilst in getting the bumper done, I just got the front end refreshed as there was some chips on the bonnet and wings. Lip spoiler and stone guard foils for the rear arches also done at the same time.
