I didn’t really want to bring this up but did anyone see the TME sale at Silverstone a few weeks ago?
I know a rising tide and all that but it was UTTERLY STUPID and disengenuous to describe it as “chassis no 1”

I do get what you mean in the context of things like an Escort XR3i and I do think they have been undervalued, but I thought that price was mental!

Have you seen the one for sale on Collecting Cars?The 450 was originally a reference to 450nm of torque (which I thought was a bit cheeky) but this seems to have 450bhp, not loads of info on the engine spec to back it up though, 450 needs more than a turbo and a downpipe
Also, this car has non of the Extreme bodywork or original wheels, this car is basically my car, not yours, it’s kind of semantics, it’s and RS 2 with 450bhp, built by Extreme!

Interested to see what price it’ll get, I’ve always worried mine is too niche/rare to actually command a great price despite being better than a red TME IMO.

TME had a few nice, small upgrades that meant ZERO if you went frurther with upgrades to the turbo and suspension yourself!
Our cars are the cars people turned into race cars, not GSR / TMEs

You've got the RSX?? Is that the Extreme that's in Red and White? VERY cool, and yep, even rarer!!
The RSX was an RS2, which was an RS but with Brembos, A/C, central locking, electric windows and a GSR gearbox (I’ve since changed to an RS gearbox)
Extreme imported about 30 RS2s, 20 white, 10 silver and retrimmed the door cards and rear seat and fitted Recaro SR seats (I requested Recaro SPGs) and badged them as RSXs
Ultimately your car started life as an RS2 and Extreme did all the mods to it.
But you kind of proved my point, you know about EVOs but you weren’t sure what an RSX was, I just say I’ve got an RS2 with an RS gearbox or an RS with electric windows and central locking (and brokrn A/C)

After much racking my brain, I think I've remembered what I was confusing the RSX with - there was one Evo 6 Extreme S made that was in the white and red colour scheme that I remember seeing on the Lancer Register many years ago. It even had a 1 of 1 plaque from memory! God that was bugging me!

I drove the 7 Extreme SC though, at the time it was the fastest EVO I’d ever driven by a long way but it had a horrible, early version of a shifter that was meant to “feel” like a sequential gearbox, it was super complicated looking and s
