Toyota MR2 Mk2 Service interval

I'm quite tempted by a Toyota MR2 Mk2, but do they really need the oil and filter changing every 3,000 miles

Early ones were 6k, it extended to 10k on later revolutions, someone more knowledgeable than me will say when but probably around '94 with the rev4.

I wouldn't worry about that really, oil and filter won't cost much, a much harder task will be finding a good car.

Thanks very much, that's a great improvement - it would be an early one and I thought I was going to be looking at a service every 3-4 months
