Hi Folks

I am thinking of getting a wall mounted TV.

Can you kindly advice how best to hide the leads and wires coming from the back of the TV.

Also, where should I place my sky box and best way to connect it to TV?

Thank You

If you have a unit underneath the TV, and don't want to hide the wires in the wall, build a feature wall.
Did similar myself. 2x2 frame, 12mm mdf backboard with 12mm mdf strips on face. All wires (sockets, hdmi
Etc) behind, but a bit tricky if your unit was to the side in a corner.

We core drilled through to the airing cupboard behind, then back into the media unit below.

Solid or stud wall? If later you may be able to fish the cables down the wall. You'll need some sort of unit to house the Sky box and anything else. You'll need power for the TV.

Missed the Sky box bit - put it somewhere you can point the remote at it, or add an IR repeater, and connect it to the telly with a decent HDMI cable. The Amazon Basics ones are fine.

I get asked abut this a lot! I've built quite a few wall mounted TV/AV units, including the boxed out ones with Evonic fires etc.

IMHO most none-DIYers get themselves worked up about chasing walls and hiding cables-getting me to build them a few grands worth of bespoke furniture when a plasterer could fill their chases back up for £60.

Would this be the same TV that you were thinking about wall-mounting back in June, and also in April, when you posted questions on other forum sites as Manjinder and Manjinder Singh Chatha?
