I'm visiting Rye soon and staying in a holiday let in the middle of town. There is no parking available so I'll have to either use on-street parking (sounds like that might be difficult) or use a nearby carpark.

Can anyone who lives in/knows Rye recommend a car park that is safe/cheap for overnight parking?

Sticks.

Some parts of central Rye are permit holders only I believe, eg Watchbell St. High St, East St, Market St have meters which has meant short term parking is more available. Easiest is an app, though I believe cards can be used. It's cheap for short stay and free and unlimited for Blue Bade holders.

The Old Cattle Market car park was £2.50/24h last time I checked, not to be confused with the Station car park. Market day Thurs so no go Weds night-Thu, if it's still on.

Note Fishmarket Rd is closed overnight AFAIK.

The agent or owner should have up to date info.

Another thought, have a look at Jempson's supermarket opposite Rye rail station, I was there yesterday, and I think they allow overnight for a reasonable fee'

Cheers, I think I'll be mostly using the railway station, as hopefully I'll only need it overnight, so should be able to park in the evening after being out during the day.

Sticks.

Chack, but I think the railway station is expensive compared to the adjacent Cattle Market car park.

I think the meters are in operation until 6pm, but again, check. You could park free overnight in town maybe. You need a Ringo app, ideally. Sorry, I meant to have a look today.
