Nico Rosberg as co-commentator?
Discussion
What were people's opinion? I thought he was excellent, partly due to his more recent technical insight but he made the right comments and analysis at the right time and did appear less than the slightly obnoxious as he appears as a pundit. I like brundle but thought he was a bit better.
I don't think he's done himself any harm in doing it.
I wonder if they are maybe going to try a semi-retiring of Brundle and Nico to fill in the gaps? I dont know.
Seems to be lots of changes at the moment, commentator presenter-wise.
I note that neither Couthard or Webber were on 4 all weekend and Lawrence Barretto was on C4 a little bit, is he no longer with "F1"?

I'm more surprised that he was quite impartial at most things. Especially Lewis who I thought he would have ill feelings for. He was right imo about alonsos defence which I too was impressed with.
I thought at first he was sounding a little gleeful at Hamiltons issues at getting past Alonso, but he got quite excited at the efforts at passingByker28i said:

It shows the respect and how once they are out away from the coalface the rivalry simmers down to respect of the effort everyone puts in on the grid.
He was good at spotting the smaller errors which cost the laps on a few drivers, and easier to listen to than Paul.

I thought he was better in the race than in qualifying. I lost count of the times he said "he hit the apex perfectly there" or similar whilst commentating on drivers' qualy laps. I prefer Brundle's "touch the apex like you would your favourite granny"
Hug. Hug the apex. Important distinction....Jasandjules said:
